Cosmetic Fillings

Front teeth can be repaired and improved with the addition of tooth-coloured composite material. The advantage being less tooth loss, and being less expensive when compared to veneers and crowns.
As with most restorations, composite fillings are not permanent and may someday have to be replaced but they are now very durable, and will last many years.

Reasons for Cosmetic Fillings:

• Chipped teeth
• Closing space between two teeth
• Cracked or broken teeth
• Decayed teeth
• Worn teeth

How are Cosmetic Fillings placed?

Composite Veneers is a less expensive substitute for Porcelain veneers. They are usually placed in one appointment. The dentist will remove any decay, if necessary. The tooth will then be cleaned and prepared before the new filling is placed. The material hardens under a special blue light that bonds it securely to the enamel. The finishing touch is smoothing and polishing the composite so that it has a natural appearance.
